An Imoni Fav: Courtney and Mark
Saturday, June 20, 2009
Courtney and Mark were married last April at the stunning
Silverleaf Club. Courtney had such great style that is was fun coming up with an overall look that complimented the club and herself beautifully. In addition to decor, it was very important to Courtney and Mark that their guests, most from out of town, had a great time. After a golf outing, spa day, and hoe down at the Desert Foothills Cookout, the guests couldn't help but have a great time celebrating Courtney and Mark's wedding day. Thanks to Jennifer at
O Grace Photography, Courtney and Mark can relive their day in a beautiful way.
Getting ready in the Silverleaf locker room. Prettiest locker room I have ever seen. :o) To match this gorgeous bride!

Courtney and Mark chose to see each other before the ceremony, a very smart choice. This way Mark gets to be the first one to see his bride, not the people in the back row. Not to mention getting nerves and pictures out of the way. Plus, it always makes me teary eyed. Just so sweet!

The bridesmaids were so cute just waiting for their pictures to start. Talk about a gorgeous wedding party!

Amazing flowers by Suzanne at
Flora Europa.

And an even more amazing ceremony...

The paper suite consisted of programs, invitations, table cards, place cards, and escort envelopes all done in hand calligraphy. Thank you Paper Place for doing such a great job!

This whimsical wreath greeted guests as they left the cocktail hour and entered into the reception.

Cake by
La Dolce Pesca.

These ivory pashminas were draped on chairs during the ceremony and available at the reception as the night cooled.

I loved Courtney's parents! And her dad was so sweet when he heard I was having a baby girl. He said if he knew all his kids would be girls he would have a million of them. You can tell he loves her in this picture. So sweet!!

Another huge trend... the late night snack. People get hungry after they drink and dance the night away!

Congratulations you two! It was a pleasure. I wish you all the best in London!!

I am still here!
Wednesday, June 03, 2009
Hi all! I thought I would drop a line to say I am still here, alive and kicking. Not that I am the world's best blogger, but I have been very busy this spring with some really great weddings that will hopefully be posted soon. Juggling those events and everything Josh and I are doing to prepare for our first baby, blogging just hasn't been on the front burner. So sorry for that! But be on the look out for these great wedding blogs, coming soon:
Grace and Trevor- The Castle
Kate and Brian- Gainey Ranch
Amanda and Chez- Royal Palms
Courtney and Mark- Silverleaf
Elizabeth and Adam- Sassi

In the meantime, Melissa Jill, amazing photographer and friend, took some pictures at my baby shower this past weekend. Since people kept asking I thought I would share the link. Go

Arizona Bride Magazine: Best of 2009
Friday, April 17, 2009

I know it has been awhile since the last post, but between a busy spring wedding season and fun baby stuff (showers, shopping, nursery, etc) I have been a little busy. But, I am writing tonight because I am happy to announce that Imoni Events has been nominated one of
Arizona Bride Magazines Best of 2009. This is a huge honor as the awards and nominations are decided based on votes. There are only three nominees per category and I am very pleased that Imoni Events has been nominated in two categories: Best Wedding Planner and Top of the Tiara. The result will be printed in the July issue. Even if we do not win, it makes me super happy to know that we are doing our job right and people are appreciative of that. Thank you to everyone who voted for us! We appreciate you!

Imoni Wedding: Liz and Patrick
Wednesday, March 04, 2009
Elizabeth and Patrick were married at the beautiful
Royal Palms Resort. A girl after my own heart, Liz is ambitious and super organized. She wanted a wedding to remember, and she got it! It was a riot to see her bride bag and binder grow every meeting we had. She had a super classy style, as you can see below, and the emotion that surrounded the day was truly sincere. Thank you to everyone who helped with their wedding:
Flora Europa for amazing flowers,
Eyes 2 See Photography for the amazing pictures,
The Invitation Lady for the beautiful paper stuff,
String Serenade for great music in the ceremony and cocktail hour, and
Ray the DJ who helped the group party the night away.

Liz was shocked when she saw how beautiful all the flowers turned out. I love that part!

Like most couples, Liz and Patrick chose to see each other before the wedding in a very intimate first look. With only the photographer there snapping away, the couple had a super cute moment. I could tell Patrick was nervous until he saw his beautiful bride.

This picture makes me cry when I think about seeing your love for the first time. This is something you definitely can't do if you do not see each other before the ceremony. Love it!

How amazing does this diamond look???!!!

After portraits were over, the wedding party sat in
T Cooks and had a drink. They were really a fun bunch!

A popular guest book idea...

Simple, but stunning programs.

The groom's favorite hors d'oeuvres...

The rich colors in the bridesmaid dresses were beautiful against the rustic backgrounds.

Another popular trend, the sweetheart table. I love this idea. The bride and groom actually get to eat and spend some precious moments just the two of them, on the biggest day of their life to date.

Here to your happily ever after!

DIY Weding Decor
Wednesday, February 25, 2009

It seems like every bride I come in contact with wants elegant and
beautiful candlelight at her wedding. Since these things tend to be more expensive than brides think, I suggest using one of my most rusted website:
Candles For Less. They have almost anything you can think of, and for a
fraction of what a retailer would charge. Even when I have brides use professionals to do the decor, I have them buy boxes of
votives or small pillars that we can add for the overall
ambiance they desire.

Another great site I have used in the past is
Save On Crafts. They have anything you can think of really. All the
deatils you see in magazines that add that extra touch, it is there, and for dirt cheap!
Check them out and have some fun!!

Another Kind Note
Friday, February 13, 2009

I got this letter from the lovely Noida San Antonio. She is seriously one of my favorite Mothers of the Bride EVER! She is so sweet and funny. Just one of those people who you could be around for a really long time. You might remember her daughter was married to Eric in October at the Biltmore. She writes...
To Dear Jen,
Thank you for an absolutely beautiful wedding that you did for Tiffani and Eric. Couldn't have asked for anything else. The weekend went absolutely perfect- everyone had a blast including me because I didn't have to worry about anything. Thanks Jen! You do an absolutely beautiful job. Keep doing what you do- you are kind, calm, and have an eye for what is the best for your bride and groom.
Suzanne,
Miles,
Taryn, the
Biltmore and all of you at
Imoni Events are professional and the best!
Love to you- Noida (MOB)
